Low Cost Recipe #1 - Nachos. You will need-
1 Bag of corn tortilla chips (average cost around $3.00)
1 jar of Tostito cheese dip (average cost around $3.00)
1 package of green onions (average cost around $2.50)
1 small tub of sour cream (average cost around $2.50)
optional-
1 jar of salsa

You can either make a huge platter, or a small dish...the portion is up to you. Once you decide on the amount of chips you would like, find an appropriate serving dish.
Wash and slice the green onion. This will be sprinkled on the nachos once they are finished.
Take the lid off of the Tostito cheese dip jar and place in the microwave in 1 minute spurts. Be sure to stir the dip in between each minute. Be careful not to burn the dip (heating usually takes up to 3 minutes.
Pour or spoon (depending on the size of your portion) the hot cheese dip over the chips. Sprinkle the green onions over the chips and cheese. Spoon on a few dabs of sour cream around the edges of the chips.
You can also buy pre-cooked chicken and add it in. The great thing about making nachos is that you can add in almost anything you want. I've given you the basics that has the potential to feed up to 4 people for around $10. It's easy and tastes awesome.
